Medical Physicist Residency

The diagnostic imaging medical physics residency program at Health Physics Northwest is accredited by the Commission on Accreditation of Medical Physics Education Programs (CAMPEP). Our first resident graduated from the program in July of 2019. It is a two year program, beginning and ending in July. Upon completion of this program, the resident will be capable of independently performing the physicist's equipment evaluations in all diagnostic imaging modalities and will be well-prepared for future board exams, specifically parts two and three of the American Board of Radiology (ABR) exam.

Application and Admission Standards

Prior to June 30th, before the residency begins, all interested applicants must have the following:

  1. Completed all graduate work from a CAMPEP-accredited graduate program.

  2. Possess a PhD in Physics or related discipline and have completed a CAMPEP-accredited certificate program.

Applications are accepted from December 1st through January 15th. Interested applicants must submit their résumé or CV, both undergraduate and graduate school transcripts, and three letters of recommendation to hpnw@hpnw.com.
